About the role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic individual to join our Legal department in the position of Junior Legal Counsel. The successful candidates will provide timely, accurate and professional support to the in-house legal team.
Key Duties:
- Manage legal work as directed by the Legal Counsel in areas of: franchising, leasing, Intellectual Property, Competition and Consumer Law, and procurement arrangements.
- Assist the Department Leader with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including (without limitation) Corporations Law, Privacy Act and Franchising Code of Conduct.
- Participate in the design and implementation of policies and processes for the Group to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain legal precent documentation as directed.
- Adhere with Department procedures and practices.
- Provide general advice on business operations.
- Draft legal correspondence, documents, and advice where appropriate and as directed.
Skills, Experience & Attributes of the ideal candidate:
- 1 year Post Admission Experience as an in-house lawyer or have worked in a mid to top tier law firm.
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Law.
