Opal Packaging is an industry-leading packaging business across Australia and New Zealand. We have an exciting entry-level opportunity for a Junior Machine Setter to join the team at our Bundaberg site.
Working closely with a fitter and turner and supervisor, some skills taught that will be a part of this role include:
- Upholding safety standards in the workplace and around machinery
- Machine setting and tooling.
- Finding faults on carton erecting machines, which can vary from mechanical, electrical, pneumatic.
- General machine maintenance
- Inventory control
- Ordering computer parts through our systems

For this role we would ideally like you to have:
- Experience working in a warehousing environment would be beneficial (but is not essential)
- A strong and reliable work-ethic
- A strong desire to learn a variety of skills
- The desire to problem solve and work with production machinery
- Ability to work in a hands-on environment (which can sometimes be hot, noisy and/ or dusty)
