We seek suitably qualified candidates for the role of Biochar Machine Operator to be based at our Carwarp Processing Plant in Carwarp.You will be accountable for:Equipment Operation

• Ensure year-round operation of machinery
• Set up and operate Biochar and bagging machines to display accurate code dates and weights
• Reset machines in cases of malfunctions and clear jams
• Manipulate machine controls to ensure minimization of material waste
• Attach identification labels to finished items and count them to ensure that they conform to initial order
• Check machines to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• All maintenance issues are to be reported to the Shift Supervisor and recorded on the Operator Report.

Record KeepingRecord machine settings, temperature and pressure ranges on machine log and fill out reports as required and raise any issues to the supervisor immediatelySafety

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in their area of responsibility and follow scheduled cleaning as required by the Manager.
• Working in a small team environment, operating equipment such as forklifts
• Following company quality management systems procedures with regard to safety and food hygiene
• Performing maintenance on machinery with confidence and be able to problem solve
• Confidently operation of pasteuriser

This role is suitable for someone with experience and knowledge working with machine operation is desirable. A strong forklift ability, punctuality and able to work a rotating shift days/nights is required and the ability to work with minimal supervision, self-starter and adequate problem solving skills.
