Reporting to our Laboratory Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing Microbiology support to Production and Quality Assurance, ensuring compliance to GMP. Specific responsibilities will include:
Required experience and skills
Supervise the Microbiological Quality Control testing of final products
Environmental monitoring
Possess experience and knowledge of microbiological techniques/methods such as aseptic technique, media selection, preparation, and growth promotion, total viable count, gram stain, and identification
Perform routine analysis which includes physical tests and chemical tests as per applicable Analytical Test Methods or Pharmacopoeia for raw materials and finished products
Desired experience and skills
Laboratory investigation
Supervise the validation of relevant Microbiological test methods
Analyse and document QC work by using basic instrumentation.
Physical and chemical characterisation techniques
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Proven interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (verbal/written/presentation) with the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners
Qualifications
A Scientific undergraduate degree (preferably biochemistry, immunology, or microbiology based).
Applicants should have at least 2-3 years of Quality Control experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech.
