The Opportunity
Join our friendly and highly esteemed Payroll Team, where your role will be crucial in delivering efficient payroll services and providing support to our diverse portfolio of centres. About You
- 1-2 years of experience in working in a payroll position, with exposure with end to end payroll process
- Ideal but not required: Experience using Employment Hero (or similar) Software
- Ability to consistently meet regular deadlines and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Ability to communicate proactively and work collaboratively with the Payroll Team, Accounts Team, and Centre staff
Responsibilities
- Processing payroll transactions efficiently on a fortnightly basis for a team of 600+ staff members, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets and leave applications
- Supporting the Senior Payroll Officer in onboarding new staff by updating payroll information in the system and providing system access to new employees
- Generating weekly reports on centre hours for the director and operations manager
- Assisting the Senior Payroll Officer in managing termination and redundancy calculations
- Conducting monthly and annual reconciliations of key payroll accounts, including superannuation, workers' compensation, parental leave, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) requirements
