Our CEO extraordinaire Sarah dreamed of creating an online community that loved getting packages delivered for the weekend and experiencing exceptional customer service at their fingertips. After a 21st birthday trip to Paris, Sarah returned with an idea to do just that! 15 years later, Beginning Boutique is the go-to online destination for all your weekend event needs! Overview:

The purpose of your role at Beginning Boutique is to support the quality function and Product Team in ensuring that every product we release under our private label fits well, is in the best fabrication for the design and works to our deadlines and pricing requirements. This role will fully support the quality team in all administrative functions to make sure that the department runs smoothly. 

Responsibilities:

  • Help the designer with taking fit comments and communicating the changes back to the supplier 
  • Assist the designer, buyer and product team to select appropriate fabric 
  • Assisting the Designer with Tech packs and ensuring all correct information is outlined and sent to the supplier in a timely manner
  • Approving care labels and graded specs in order to proceed to bulk production
  • Random checking of bulk production at warehouse to ensure quality standards are being met by factories
  • Organising all fit/PP/Shipping samples as they arrive. This is to be prioritised by delivery and production time 
  • Approving shipping samples prior to bulk shipping- communicating any issues that may need to be addressed prior to stock being shipped
  • Assisting the designer in replying to all supplier emails within 24 hours 
  • Supporting the suppliers in finding solutions to production issues that might arise 
  • Establish fit standards across all factories and categories, ensuring all factories adhere to this strictly
  • Work closely with factories to follow and achieve the critical path from design, sampling, fit, corrections, pre-production and bulk approval 
  • Confirming with the suppliers gifting units needed for the marketing team 
  • Supporting with sending comments for the gift with purchase products
  • Assist product team manager in organising fit sessions and fit model booking
  • Communicating any delays in styles to the buying/planning team that may impact launch dates 
  • Communicate any quality or measurement issues with designer and product team manager
  • Assist customer care customer product quality queries. 
  • Assist Product team manager in setting up processes for the quality department. This will include supplier manuals, measuring manuals and labelling manuals 
  • Reviewing the faulty stock each month and requesting credit from suppliers and reporting on this to improve future styles
  • Assist shoot with how garments should be worn on ecom shoot days 
  • Updating the range build with fit photos and cads images 
  • Help ensure the correct PP samples are handed over to marketing/shoot for online photographs 
  • Working with the product team manager to chase and ensure testing reports have been received and uploaded into the drive

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following;

  • A degree in pattern making, design, production
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Skilled in identifying solutions in the garment production process
  • Understanding of a critical path and deadlines 
  • Understanding of fabrics and implications on production 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively both written (electronic) and verbally while ensuring sensitivity to information
  • A strong passion for success and goal orientated 
  • Excellent customer service experience and skills
  • 1-2 year experience in garment fits and critical path processes
