Over the last decade, Blue Bungalow has grown from a local summer fashion lifestyle brand to an established eCommerce business with a global presence, and a team of over 100 across our three operational locations - HQ, Fulfilment Centre & Retail Store.
About the Role
To support our continued growth, an exciting opportunity for a Casual eCommerce Assistant has arisen within our eCommerce team.
Reporting to the eCommerce Manager and working under the day-to-day supervision of the eCommerce Coordinator, the eCommerce Assistant role is pivotal in supporting the greater eCommerce, Marketing and Product teams to bring over 3000+ products at any one time to life online. Your day will consist of writing product descriptions, detailed product enrichment and visual merchandising across our different locales (AU, NZ and US).
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Writing product descriptions for apparel, shoes and accessories to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Product enrichment in the goal of making the online shopping experience easy and frictionless for our customers, this includes using advanced technology for product tagging and recommendations
- Data-driven visual merchandising using our search & merchandising software to enable and influence product sell-through
- Assist the eCommerce Coordinator and eCommerce UX Analyst in conducting regular website audits to identify gaps in filters and product categorisations
- Write SEO-focused and general entertainment blog posts
- Learn how to set up landing pages (we’ll teach you!)
- Work closely with the Marketing, Buying and Customer Experience teams to continually improve and adjust the website experience based on wider business goals and customer feedback

- Be interested in the analytical side of eCommerce more so than the fashion itself
- Be an enthusiastic team player, always willing to learn and adapt – we move fast!
- Have excellent written communication skills
- Passionate about eCommerce and the future of the industry
Your Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- Either completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, Information Technology or related field OR have relevant equivalent work experience
- Able to prove your work ethic, even if it's outside of the fashion eCommerce industry
- Experience with Shopify or another eCommerce platform is great, but not essential
