As an experienced and qualified carpenter, you will work alongside our current senior supervisors to be mentored in overseeing multiple construction projects. The Junior Site Supervisor will learn and be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Attend sites & assess restoration works.
- Report writing & preparation of scope of works & quotations
- Interpret scope of works provided by consultants
- Build new & leverage existing relationships with key insurance personnel within the industry
- Liaise with & engage sub-contractors during quotation stage
- Liaise with customers, insurers, and all key stakeholders
- Work within industry KPI’s
- Work in conjunction with supervisors to ensure works are delivered within budgets & timeframes
- Ensure all work conforms to legislative & contractual OH&S requirements
- Ensure all inspections, certificates & relevant documentation is signed off
Key Selection Criteria:
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry, Building Trade Qualification and/or previous Estimating experience
- Restoration or Insurance Building background is beneficial, however not essential
- Strong computer skills with a confident & professional phone manner
- Excellent organisational & time management skills
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with a positive attitude & sound work ethic
- Ability to manage multiple & competing priorities.
- Ability to build effective relationships & be empathetic to the needs of the customer
- Dispute resolution skills
- Familiarity with OHS practices, legislations & regulations
- Familiarity with current market rates & trades
- Current & valid motor vehicle licence
While skills and experience are important, it is also imperative that you can communicate with a range of people, can problem solve and follow systems and enjoy taking responsibility for a job well done.
Experience needed: qualified carpenter, domestic home construction experience, past experience with extensions and previous experience working for yourself or in a team environment.
