Due to the continuing growth of our business, we are searching for a suitably experienced Tax Junior to join our growing tax division. This is a great opportunity to join the leading provider of corporate services in APAC.

WHERE YOU FIT IN
Due to the continuing growth of our business, we are searching for an ambitious Tax Junior to join our growing tax division. This role would suit someone confident in their ability, ready to step into a dynamic, fast growing business with strong client base. Our ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience in a taxation role and be confident preparing taxable income calculations and company income tax returns.

While the role is advertised as full-time, we allow flexibility in terms of both hours and attendance at the company's offices.
ABOUT THE ROLEKey areas of responsibility
Under the guidance of our Tax Director / Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:
Taxable income calculations
Tax planning and implementation
Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office
Liaising with clients regarding tax queries and issues
Preparation of BAS, IAS, FBT Returns, Income Tax Returns, and other such submissions to the ATO
Financial report preparation and review
Assistance with tax advisory
Liaising with and support the Acclime Corporate Services team
Monitor job progress and track outstanding tax returns as requested
Preparation of ATO letters as requested
Experience and qualificationsThe Junior Tax Accountant must have the following attributes:
Degree qualifications with 1-2 years of experience in tax compliance / advisory
CA / CPA qualified, or working towards
Experience with cloud-based accounting and practice management systems (primarily Xero, XPM)
Time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
BAS, IAS, ITR, FBT return preparation and lodgement experience
A high level of computer literacy, particularly MS Excel
Ability to work effectively both in an independent capacity and as part of a team
A confident, robust and positive personality is essential

Competence in languages other than English
R&D Tax incentive experience
Cross-border taxation / transfer pricing experience
