We are a boutique accounting practice operating from central Joondalup, the hub of Perth's Northern Suburbs. As a professional practice, we are committed to providing excellent client service so therefore this quality is essential in the successful candidate. THE ROLE - we are looking for a professional, enthusiastic and client focused candidate to contribute to our team. We are looking for someone to join our team initially for three days a week with a view to progressing to a full time position. More details of the role are listed below.
Qualifications & experience
- Accounting qualifications are essential and exposure to SMSF may be useful
- Income tax return preparation through to lodgement
- Ability to undertake face to face appointments with clients
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in keyboard skills
- Experience with accounting software packages such as XERO, MYOB and QuickBooks, with review and final accounts preparation
- Confident in own ability and thinks intuitively
- Able to prioritise and well organised
- Self-motivated and able to perform duties without supervision
Tasks & responsibilities
- Income tax returns, financial reporting and accounting
- Income tax returns via face to face appointments, telephone appointments and email (individuals, sole traders and other small business tax returns)
- Providing accounting and taxation advice to clients
- Assist in preparation of tax returns for other Accountants
- Corporate compliance for companies and trusts
- Invoicing clients and taking payments
- Office administration duties as required
- Ensuring that Company principles and practices are complied with
