This role will see you working within a cutting edge Defence AI company, closely alongside a motivated and talented team of Software Engineers and ML Ops engineers developing and testing simulation environments developing digital twin instances for testing and evaluation purposes.
Key tasks & responsibilities- Assist in the design and development of Android applications.
- Design and implement User Interfaces
- Implement application updates, including bug fixes and feature enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and client presentations as needed.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven software development experience within Android environments.
- Experience with Android SDK.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Familiarity with CICD pipelines.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Project design, documentation, management and ownership
- Experience with Kotlin and Java.
- Experience creating excellent User Experiences & Interfaces.
- Familiarity working with Third Party Plugin systems.
- Experience with Android CI/CD
- Excellent professional development working within Athena's Vision Software Team and exposure to world class Machine Learning technologies
