The Role 

As a First Year Chef Apprentice you will embark on an exciting culinary journey, learning the fundamentals of professional cooking and kitchen operations.   

The Sydney Experience Centre (EC) Apprentice Chef is primarily responsible for assisting the Chef in the smooth delivery of the curated Fisher & Paykel experience to all visitors. 

Helping to providing our guests with in-depth product detail and confidently tell the Fisher & Paykel story in a compelling way.  

Under the guidance of our experienced chefs and culinary experts, you will be introduced to preparing delicious dishes, mastering various cooking techniques, and developing essential skills to thrive in the hospitality industry.  

This 12-month-18-month Kitchen Apprenticeship program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience to build a solid foundation for a successful career in the kitchen as well as the appliance industry.  

The person  

We are looking for someone with proven strengths in the areas of: 

• A genuine people person and an excellent communicator - an ability to build strong relationships with the people around you. 

• Must feel confident in speaking and engaging with groups and of inquisitive people. 

• High service and personal standards 

• A good understanding of food and occupational safety practices (OH&S) and HACCP in kitchen 

• Well organised, structured, openminded and customer focused.
