About us
Redland Museum is a growing not-for-profit charitable organisation which has been operating for over 50 years. We are partially financially supported by Redland City Council. One of our strengths has been our catering services to the groups and events that we host at our fantastic establishment. We are now receiving increased requests for catering services and we have made the exciting decision to create this new role! We are looking for a Kitchen Coordinator to assist us in continuing our fantastic and unique offering at the Redland Museum!
The Role:
- Work with our team to oversee catering services at the Museum
- Lead and coordinate volunteers helping in the kitchen
- Manage the kitchen duties including making approved purchases /ordering necessary to fulfil catering requirements
- Coordinate food preparation as required
- Build and grow the museum catering services reputation
Our Ideal Candidate:
- 5+years experience in catering/running a tuckshop (or similar!)
- Food Safety Supervisor qualifications
- Retail experience in sales, purchases and stock control (kitchen)
- Barista qualifications
- Good organisation skills
- A fun, can do attitude!
- History buff and lover of all things ‘museum’ (preferred, but not required!)
- A willingness to take on feedback and make recommendations to us on how we can improve on our catering!
