We strive to lead the change in the way Australians think about ageing, recognising ‘old age’ as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to join the team at Bethanie on the Park Retirement Village located in Menora.This role is currently being offered on a permanent part time basis, working 15 hours per week on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 9:30am and 2:00pm.To be successful in this role, you will have existing knowledge of various food preparation methods as well as food safety and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is a component of this role.About the Role:
- Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ensuring required ingredients are available daily.
- Assisting is preparation, apportioning and serving of meals.
- Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition
- Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery
- Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand ideally in an aged care, hospital, or similar environment.
- Have a “can do” attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations 3x Covid and annual flu vaccination
- Willingness to obtain National Police Clearance
