The role:
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be part of the catering team and responsible for providing assistance to the chef and cooks with:
*cleaning equipment and contributing to a hygienic work environment
*some basic food preparation where needed and requested
*ensuring work areas are always kept tidy, sanitized and safe (WHS).
*Contribute to the effectiveness of the whole team by working together and assisting in the kitchen area.
About you:
*Ideally you will have previous experience as a kitchen hand
*organised with great attention to detail
*a solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
*self motivated, able to work independently and in a team
*a caring nature and positive attitude
*work well in a team and able to follow direction from the Chef and manager
*A safe food handling certificate would be highly regarded.
