We are seeking a motivated candidate who has a genuine interest in promoting the business relationship between Korea and Australia using marketing and research skills. You will seek Australian companies to do business with Korean suppliers as well.

KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) is a non-profit South Korean Government organization that promotes and facilitates trade, investment and overseas recruitment between Korea and Australia. It was established in 1962 and currently operates 128 offices in 83 countries worldwide. KOTRA Melbourne office has been operating since 1973 in Melbourne and facilitated business between Korea and Australia.
About KOTRA Jisahwa Service
On behalf of small and mid-sized companies which cannot afford to establish their own overseas branches, KOTRA’s worldwide offices work as their local branches. As a Jisahwa specialist, you will support Korean SMEs for marketing and exporting such as:
- Support for export contract, participation to exhibition and consultation meeting
- Consulting on logistics and customs
- Support for business trip
- Management of traditional customers
- Entry of local distribution network
- Support for licensing, brand promotion
- Participation in project
Main Duties Include:
- Market / Industry research & reporting for Korean companies
- Business match making, seeking Australian companies to do business with Korea
- Organising and Assisting Trade delegations
- Processing trade enquiries
- Seeking Korean Suppliers for Australian companies
- Seeking Australian buyers for Korean suppliers
- General Office Duties
Requirement:
- Highly motivated person, who works well autonomously within a small knit team.
- Strong organizational & interpersonal skills and time management skills with the ability to complete work within a set time frame
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Korean - must be able to prepare documents and/or reports in both languages
- Strong MS Office and Hancom Office skills are required
- Tertiary marketing / business degree or above qualifications
- A genuine interest in doing business with Asia will be well regards
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa
- No criminal record and who is eligible to work in the public sector (Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to an offer of employment being made)
- Permanent Full-time Position (First 3-month probation will be applied)
