Form of workAn exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Science Laboratory Technician to join our vibrant School. The primary function of this role is to work with the Science teachers to provide technical support when implementing the Science curriculum and associated programs.
This is a full-time ongoing role; however, the School is open to considering a part-time job share arrangement for the right candidates.
To be successful you will be a skilled Laboratory Technician who is able to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment for both staff and students who use the School’s science laboratories.
You will excel in this role if you:
- Have experience in the preparation of experiments and materials required for science practical demonstrations in a variety of scientific disciplines including Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Have a proven ability to provide appropriate technical advice to support students and teachers
- Can maintain safe and healthy work practices including safe storage, handling and disposal of chemicals and biological residues
You will also need to have experience in ensuring that Science equipment is in good working order and well maintained.
