About the role
North Burnett Regional Council is seeking a Labourers to join the Civil Works Team based in Biggenden.
The Labourer works as part of a multi-skilled team to deliver effective and efficient construction and maintenance of existing services and structures in connection with roads and footpaths, drainage and other functions in and around the town of Biggenden.
About you
With a focus on safe work practices, you will have proven experience undertaking labouring tasks in the construction and maintenance of roads, including traffic control procedures, kerb and gutter, footpath, concrete drainage etc.
You will be able to safely operate and maintain a variety of commercial plant/ equipment and tools relevant to the work area.
Additionally, you will have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a close-knit team.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Ability to work in a physically demanding occupation, often in noisy conditions.
- Unrestricted drivers licence – ‘C’ class.
- Work Safe in the Construction Industry Induction Certificate (White Card).
Desirable
- Traffic Management Implementation Program licence.
- Traffic Control Industry Authority.
