This position is classified as a PACS Band 8 ($97,596 - $105,642 p.a as at 01 July 2024) under the City of Kwinana’s structured remuneration system.

What's On OfferAn amazing opportunity exists for a creative and forward thinking Landscape Architect to join the Engineering team at the City of Kwinana. This is a full-time position reporting to the Coordinator Engineering Development, and working alongside a remarkable team of like-minded professionals. Your primary focus will be to provide specialist landscape and architectural planning, as well as design, drafting and documentation, management and execution of urban landscape enhancement projects. The role will also provide leadership and qualified professional advice on project and design management of landscape, conservation areas, public open space and associated assets within the City of Kwinana..

What You'll NeedTo make an impact as our new Landscape Architect - Project, you will need:

  • Qualification in Landscape Architecture or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in project and contract management of landscape, conservation areas, public open space, and associated assets delivery.
  • Extensive experience generating cost estimates for design projects and subsequent maintenance requirements.
  • Knowledge of native plants and their application to create sustainable and water-wise landscaping.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Standards, Australian Codes, and Local Government statutory requirements for landscape/urban enhancement projects.
  • Highly developed Landscape Architectural skills.
  • Well-developed spatial design appreciation, and related computer competency in design and graphics software packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to provide high quality customer service.
  • Possession of a Driver’s Licence.
  • An ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
