Job Title:Landscape Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Penrith, New South Wales. As the Landscape Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of landscapers in the delivery of various landscape gardening maintenance projects and planning and execution of various landscaping projects. Your role will involve overseeing the team's work progress, ensuring quality standards are met, and providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a tradesperson in landscaping or related field
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques, materials, plants, and equipment
- Ability to read landscape plans and blueprints
- Proficient in operating landscape machinery/tools safely
- Problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of landscaper gardeners by working alongside whilst assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Undertake landscape and gardening tasks that include
- Blowing and Vacuuming of hard surfaces,
- Grass Cutting/Mowing
- Whipper Snipping
- Edging
- Hedging and Trimming
- Herbicide Application and Weeding
- Tree Maintenance
- Removal of litter and waste
- Directing and managing traffic when required
- Improvement and Planting
- Watering
- Equipment Maintenance
- Soft and Hard Landscape Construction
- Irrigation installation and maintenance
- Plan work schedules for the team according to project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality regulations and standards are meet.
- Coordinate material orders required for each project within budget constraints.
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work sites to assess performance standards.
- Train new employees and apprentices on proper techniques and safety protocols
- Aid in developing and growing the Landscaping business unit within Muru Mittigar
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a tradesperson in landscaping or related field (minimum 5 years)
- Previous experience leading teams or supervising others preferred but not essential
- Certificate III (or higher) in Parks and Gardens or related field
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Competency level of AQF3 level (or higher) in
- Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and
- diseases and Transport and store chemicals
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Note: The salary range for this position is between 60,000 AUD to 80,000 AUD per annum + superannuation, based on experience and qualifications.
