Large Animal Technical Assistant

Reporting to the Farm Supervisor, and liaising with a variety of stakeholders, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Veterinary Sciences Large Animal teaching facilities.  You will apply animal husbandry relevant to the animal species, prepare teaching resources for practical classes, demonstrate safe animal handling and restraint techniques in livestock (cattle, horses, goats, sheep, and pigs) maintain yards and paddocks and clean equipment and facilities (including personal protective equipment). 

You will be a multi-skilled induvial who can demonstrate expertise in the care and handling of Large Animals and will also be able to carry out general maintenance and repairs of animal holding facilities such as mowing, whipper snipping, and welding fences.
