Are you a Neurophysiology Scientist looking for a rewarding Locum opportunity in Canberra, ACT?
This Locum position is available for one month initially, with the potential to extend for up to three months or potentially transition into a permanent placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently perform high quality routine and advanced/complex neurophysiology investigations (including providing technical reports) for patients in varied clinical settings (i.e., inpatients and outpatients; adult, paediatric and neonatal patients; stable patients and critically ill patients)
- Assist in the day-to-day management of patient workflow through the Service to meet operational requirements.
- Contribute to Quality Management Systems (including maintenance and review of clinical standards, policies, and protocols) for the Service that meet CHS, professional and national requirements including quality improvement and research activities.
- Provide professional supervision and education to less senior levels of clinical Neurophysiology Scientists and students.
- Proactively develop your own knowledge and expertise required to perform the functions of the role.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.
- Bachelor of Science / Applied science, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-years post-qualification experience in Clinical Neurophysiology Testing
- There may need to be available for occasional weekend and after-hours work.
- Be eligible for membership with Association of Neurophysiological Scientists of Australia Inc. (ANSA) and/or Neurophysiological Sciences Society of Australasia (NSSA).
- Be eligible for accreditation with the Australian Council for Clinical Physiologists (ACCP).
- Rate $53-60 per hour + super depending on experience.
