About the Role:
We are currently looking for a reliable and organised Dispatch Coordinator to join our LARK Dispatch team. This role will be located at our Cambridge Distillery on a Full-Time basis, based on a 38-hour work week, Monday to Friday. This role will report to our Dispatch Manager.
Position Overview:
As the Dispatch Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient standards of our pick and pack team ensuring accurate and effective inventory management. Reporting directly to the Dispatch & Logistics manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dispatch process: coordinating and booking in shipments, managing stock levels, conducting regular stock checks etc. The ideal candidate for this role will possess great attention to detail, warehousing experience, outstanding organisational skills and a passion for delivering excellent outcomes for LARK’s customers in all aspects of their work.
Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Coordinate the picking, packing and shipping of customer orders, ensuring all goods are dispatched on time and in full.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, conducting regular stocktakes and stock checks to reconcile any discrepancies
- Customer Service: Serve as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues and maintaining positive relationships.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the integrity and condition of all outgoing shipments.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines governing the storage, handling, and shipping of alcoholic beverages.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all dispatch activities, including but not limited to: order fulfilment, inventory movements, and customer communications.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on key performance metrics, such as order accuracy and on-time delivery rates to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the dispatch process and recommend solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously and effectively.
- Previous experience with ERP systems is desired but not necessary.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a warehouse or distribution environment would be beneficial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g Word, Excel, Outlook).
