The role:
We are seeking motivated and experienced applicants for the role of Domestic Services Officer to work at our Devonport Community & Health Services Centre. In accordance with universal precautions and departmental policies and procedures, provide an efficient, safe domestic service including infection control cleaning across relevant wards, offices and residences.
The focus of duties of this role are:
- Undertake cleaning of clinical and office areas within the health facility.
- Perform infection control cleaning duties to minimise spread of infection across the health facility.
- Collect and dispose of all waste including contaminated waste into appropriate receptacles.

The Devonport Community and Health Services Centre offers a range of services for individuals, and the community, to meet a variety of health care needs provided by friendly, professional people.
Details of Appointment
Permanent, part time, shift-worker position working 16 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as we can onboard you.
Note hours of work will be 5-9pm Monday & Tuesday each week.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $55,466 to $57,712 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

- Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
