Launchpad Early Learning Centre is a family owned and operated centre situated in picturesque Diamond Creek. We opened in March 2023 and our community and team are growing! As our current Centre Director has been promoted to another role within the business, we are looking to recruit a dedicated and self-motivated Director to support our Assistant Director in taking our Diamond Creek centre to the next level. We are looking for a capable, organised, and passionate early childhood professional with exceptional communication skills to join our beautiful service and supportive Management team.
Our 116-place purpose-built centre is open from 6:30am-6:30pm, Monday to Friday. The service has 7 light filled, welcoming and well- resourced classrooms catering for children from 6 weeks to Kindergarten and attractive, engaging and fun filled outdoor spaces to support a robust indoor/outdoor program. We need a dynamic Director to help lead our team as they nurture and educate our little ones based on our core values of Respect, Resilience and Readiness. We adopt a play-based approach to learning and focus on educating and nurturing the Whole Child.
About the role
We are seeking a self-motivated, highly organised and competent Director to work with our Assistant Director, Educational Leader and Administration Manager to help manage and mentor our growing team. To be successful in this position you will require the ability to effectively lead teams, prioritise tasks, have strong organisational and administrative skills, have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, be able to continue building relationships with our beautiful families and children and guide and support our team to continue promoting a positive workplace culture.
As our team leader and Director, you will be collaborating with your Management team to oversee the day to day operations of the centre, implementing an inspiring educational program, recruiting and supporting our team, assisting with centre compliance in line with associated legislations and ensuring the highest quality relationships and communication with our children, families and our broader community.

Skills and experience
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of EYLF, NQF and CSS.
- Knowledge of the Assessment and Rating process and ability to lead a team through it.
- Ability to collaborate on and implement a forward thinking QIP.
- Understand and ensure compliance in line with associated legislations and regulations.
- Competently oversee funded Kindergarten programs including using KIMS and PRODA.
- Ability to build respectful, warm and professional relationships with parents, children, and colleagues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A solution orientated attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously.
- Effective rostering and team management ensuring consistency of care.
- Administrative duties including but not limited to email communication, Storypark, Xplor, Excel, Word and knowledge of CCS.
- Supporting Educator’s Professional Development and performance.
- Help maintain an inclusive, supportive, and educational environment for all children and especially for those with additional needs.
- Assisting to organise incursions, excursions, and events for the centre.
- Hold a Diploma or Bachelor of Education (Early Years) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an Assistant Director or Director’s role is desirable.
- Current First Aid Certificate/Asthma/Anaphylaxis /CPR certificates.
- Current Working with Children Check.
