Job description

Support this large multi-national, resources and trading corporations’ compliance and ethics program, to Identify and investigate risks related to corruption, fraud, conflicts of interest, money laundering, sanctions, market conduct and anti-trust practices.

Pacific People Solutions are very pleased to be working with one of the world’s largest globally diversified mining and natural resource trading companies to source Compliance Advisors.  To be successful in these roles you will have an eye for risk identification, critical thinking and problem solving.

Under the supervision of the Regional Compliance Manager, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Management of day to day “Know Your Counterparty”(KYC) and “ Third Party Due Diligence” (TPDD) screening requests received from Australia Pacific business units
  • Conduct a risk-focused screening assessment on each new counterparty (KYC) and each new third party engagement (TPDD)
  • Identify and investigate risks related to corruption, fraud, conflicts of interest, money laundering, sanctions, market conduct and anti-trust practices.
  • Manage the ongoing identification of third parties due for KYC and TPDD renewal screening in accordance with Regional Compliance policies and procedures.
Further to this, you will be required to demonstrate your capability to prepare well ordered, complete documentation and reports.

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate;

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in law, accounting, business or a related discipline OR be working towards completion of such studies.
  • An understanding and interest in Anti-Corruption legal frameworks and programs.
  • An eye for risk identification, critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Strong attention to detail in record keeping, file management and email communication.
  • Strong experience in end-to-end administrative processes and compliance driven administrative roles (i.e.: payroll, AP, Anti-bribery and corruption compliance, legal compliance, HSEC, etc.)
  • Experience in know your customer/counterparty due diligence investigations and understanding of corporate structures is an advantage and strongly desired.
