Lawyer or Senior Associate to join our growing and highly regarded
Private Clients team in Newcastle.Our
Private Clients section is comprised of approximately 30 team members nationally and is led by award-winning and industry-leading partners and senior lawyers with extensive experience.This role suits a lawyer
or Senior Associate with solid experience in wills and estate planning and/or estate litigation, who has a genuine interest in contributing to the success and growth of a top
Private Clients practice.
Key responsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be involved in a variety of matters including:
- personal and business succession planning;
- wills and estate administration (including probate and letters of administration);
- trusts, entity establishment, and restructuring of assets and complex structures;
- estate litigation;
- advising on superannuation and taxation; and
- providing advice to a broad range of clients, including high and ultra-high net worth clients and families, as well as business owners, people moving towards retirement, and charities and not-for-profits.
Skills and experienceWe are keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:
- between 3 - 6 years of post-admission experience, specifically in wills, estates and succession planning or a related area of law;
- a genuine interest in the Private Clients sector;
- clear and concise legal drafting skills;
- the ability to work autonomously under the supervision of more senior members of the team; and
- outstanding attention to detail.
