About the Position:
Our client is seeking a Lawyer/Associate with 2-4 years of PAE to join their Intellectual Property and Information Technology team in Brisbane. In this role, you will handle both non-contentious and contentious IP and IT matters for a diverse clientele, including large listed companies, local subsidiaries of multinationals, dynamic Australian businesses, and not-for-profit organisations.
Key Requirements:
- General IP experience, particularly in prosecuting trademark applications
- Knowledge of Australian Consumer Law
- Experience drafting commercial contracts (e.g., franchise agreements, IP licenses, supply and distribution agreements)
- Litigation and dispute resolution experience related to IP and Australian Consumer Law
- IT and privacy law experience
- General commercial law experience (3+ PAE)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong client management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
