Lead Actuary – Reserving

Our general insurance client is seeking a qualified actuary to join their team in a varied role working across reserving, pricing, product development, and underwriting but focused on reserving. This role can be based anywhere in Australia.About the role

• Design, implement, and review reserving practices.
• Create, run and analyse technical reports for a range of stakeholders.
• Review the pricing structure of products and recommend changes based on analysis of performance of different customer segments.
• Support underwriting of new business opportunities and assist with the development and implementation of BI tools.

About you

• AIAA or FIAA or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in the general insurance industry. Prior experience in reserving for personal lines products is essential.
• Experience with IFRS17 desirable.
• Good experience with programming tools such as R and Python as well as Power BI.
• Excellent data analytics, communication and problem-solving skills.
