Lead Actuary/Analyst

Our general insurance client is seeking a nearly/newly qualified actuary to join their team in a varied role working across reserving, pricing, product development, and underwriting.About the role

• Design, implement, and review reserving practices.
• Create, run and analyse technical reports for a range of stakeholders.
• Review the pricing structure of products and recommend changes based on analysis of performance of different customer segments.
• Support the underwriting of new business opportunities.
• Lead the development and implementation of business intelligence tools.

About you

• Nearly or newly qualified actuary.
• Minimum of 4 years of actuarial experience in the general insurance industry. Prior experience in reserving and/or reinsurance for personal lines products would be highly regarded.
• Good experience with programming tools such as R and Python as well as Power BI.
• Experience using GLMs/GBMs.
• Excellent data analytics, communication and problem-solving skills.
