About our Lead Consultant (BA) position:
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst, to join our Digital Strategy and Design team as a Lead Consultant, within our Perth based practice.
A Lead Consultant within the Business Analysis domain is responsible for leading the scoping and gathering of functional and non-functional requirements including business processes and working closely with development teams on technical design and development.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develops business requirements/user stories, business cases, process maps and other key analysis artefacts.
- Researches and evaluates client systems and requirements; draws conclusions; and develops recommendations in accordance with engagement objectives.
- Discusses project scope and influences project scope to be able to be implemented on time and budget without sacrificing quality.
- Identifies and resolves project issues with clients.
- Plans own and teams work to meet given objectives and processes.
- Leads project and team ceremonies.
- Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to problem solving and mentors team members to follow his/her approach
- Works with internal personnel to define service opportunities, and develop standards of delivery, templates, and standard work products to meet internal and external delivery expectations.
- Communicates with business and technology stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ensure that all tasks performed comply with Insight's Policies and Procedures
Experience required:
Business Analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate both technical and abstract concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong experience gathering requirements and writing user stories
- Excellent workshop facilitation skills
- Ideal - BPMN, experience developing business cases
Agile
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum exp beneficial).
- Excellent knowledge and experience with all phases of the delivery life cycle including business engagement, release planning, backlog management, test driven development, training & support.

- Experience consulting for large scale enterprise clients.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively.
- Extensive experience gathering business requirements and documentation using formal methodologies.
- Ability to write quality high level and detailed documents and communicate the vision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate both technical and abstract concepts in a clear and concise manner a must.
- Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills combined with sound judgement.
- Proven ability to develop business requirements based on business imperatives.
- Ability to write quality high level and detailed documents that communicate customer vision
- Understanding of project budgets
- Must be able to multi-task effectively.
- Ability to interface effectively with client executives in a professional and business-like manner.
- Work with our customers to understand functional and business requirements and make appropriate technology recommendations.
- Deliver strategic consultancy services including enterprise maturity assessments, roadmaps and technology platform evaluations.
- Develop and maintain effective customer and user relationships, including representing Insight at conferences, User Groups and other marketing/PR activities as appropriate.
