THE ROLE
The Lead Data Analyst, Student Experience Program is accountable for generating actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making and drive improvements in the student experience. This role requires a combination of analytical and statistical expertise, along with technical skills, to deliver insights that support strategy development and delivery processes.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) (DVC-A) is the Chief Academic Officer of the University and is the member of the University Executive with whole of University responsibility for the planning, quality and delivery of education provided to Macquarie's undergraduate and graduate students.
The Student Experience Program will increase the co-ordination, resourcing, and effort in driving forward our strategies related to Students First. The Lead Data Analyst plays a critical role within the Student Experience Program. Reporting to the Strategy Lead, Student Experience Program, this position will utilise analytics and data visualisation techniques and leverage institution wide datasets from a range of sources to support strategic decision-making. The Lead Data Analyst, Student Experience Program combines analytical and statistical knowledge with technical skills to deliver actionable insights to support the strategy development and delivery process which covers all parts of the University's Education and Student Experience culminating in an Executive and community endorsed strategy for the University.

Selection Criteria
Experience within statistics, data analysis and data modelling.
Experience in data visualisation Power BI.
Excellent command of R or Python programming languages
Demonstrated ability to interrogate data for storytelling and insights development, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience developing effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including liaising with and influencing stakeholders in the achievement of organisational goals.
