The Data Strategy & Governance team is responsible for overall design and implementation of the data governance framework and standards, and provision of support and oversight of the business and support areas as they implement their responsibilities to manage of the availability, usability, integrity and security of data used across the enterprise.
The day to day
- Drive the requirements and support the implementation of tools & processes for operational, managerial, and executive oversight, demonstrating your strong thought leadership in this area setting clear requirements.
- Support the development of the data governance maturity roadmap and ensure key business operational cadences clearly track data risk priorities including assessing data impacts, criticality, DQ tolerances and Data Lifecycle Management & Governance requirements.
- Assist business units and data owners in implementing these tools in target areas, using risk issue management techniques to ensure effective remediation actions.
- Build comprehensive organisation-wide training materials, and take the lead in implementing Data Management training programs to improve data management standards and understanding across the organisation.
- Collaborate with business units to accelerate data management tool adoption and improve value, providing insights across the Data Lifecycle and offering expert data governance guidance to new initiatives.
- Supporting the Associate Director Data Governance Capability & Practices across data remediation and prioritisation activities, to improve the quality and value of data across various business applications and systems, while ensuring alignment of data-related endeavours throughout the organisation.
- Relevant Post-graduate qualifications in Mathematics, Statistics, IT, or relevant function, together with extensive experience in data analysis, reporting and business intelligence, complimented by expertise in Data Lifecycle Management, Data Governance, Data Strategy and Risk/Compliance.
- Possess strong expertise with data management and governance roles, principles, processes and procedures, underpinned by understanding enterprise level data quality, master data management and related metrics
- Hands-on skills to drive adoption of new technologies and ways of working, through strong business partner management, relationship building and the ability to influence business outcomes and improvements.
- Strong financial and commercial proficiencies, compliment with excellent verbal and written communication ability, resilience and adaptability driven by team work and collaboration.
