Role:
- Head up a team focused on software, data and AWS systems, serving as the go-to-person for all things software engineering, API building and data engineering
- Lead architectural and design discussions to help build and scale key solutions which serve a much larger impact for society
- Manage concurrent priorities and projects, bridging the gap between business and technology teams
- Manage the team, providing coaching, training, support and guidance whilst bringing them all together to share a common goal, both work-wise and culturally/environmentally
Skills/Experience:
- 1+ year experience in a 'people management' role where you were formally providing leadership to a technical team, ideally of software and/or data engineers
- 8+ years' hands-on experience building and scaling distributed systems, applying software and/or data engineering principles in the process, ideally using object-oriented languages such as Java, Scala, TypeScript or Python
- 1+ year experience with ETL/ELT implementations, database design and data modeling
- 3+ years' experience actively participating in the design, build and architecture of AWS ecosystems, utilising key AWS services including EC2, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Lambda, S3 etc.
- 2+ years' experience in the healthcare or digital health domain, ideally working with the HL7 FHIR standard or, in the least, healthcare data
- Nice to have: Databricks experience (experience with data-related systems)
Other information:
- Hybrid setup, with 2-3 days in the office per week the 'norm' - although this is dependent on team standup days etc.
