Queensland Hydro is a publicly owned entity established by the Queensland Government to design, deliver, operate and maintain long duration pumped hydro energy storage assets that will be the cornerstone for the transformation of the state’s energy system.

The role
Reporting to the Performance Manager (PMO) the Senior Document Controller will be responsible for overseeing document control activities from a governance perspective. The post holder will issue and manage all the documents/deliverables through the chosen document management system and prepare reports as required. The position will be the principal point of contact for document management and will provide support to project specific Document Controllers.
Key accountabilities in this role include:
- Lead the development, operation and implementation of a document control system
- Develop, track and maintain registers of deliverables for nominated projects
- Establish and maintain systems for the maintenance of documents to ensure the program team and other stakeholders are using current versions
- Maintaining a register of all program documents and drawings to comply with document management policies
- Manage the document flow for the program team
- Educate and train stakeholder’s on recordkeeping requirements
- Distribute recordkeeping information and consolidate feedback where required
- Deliver recordkeeping system training to staff
- Coordinate, track and manage multi-stakeholder interagency reviews of deliverables
About you
To be considered for this position, you will ideally posses:
- Formal qualifications in Information Management and/or Business, or Cert IV in Business Administration
- Extensive Document Control experience within a multi-disciplinary, major project environment
- Detailed knowledge of Engineering Documentation and Documents Lifecycle
- Experience in ACONEX, Teambinder, TRIM/Source or similar document management systems
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of version control and change management principles, document and information registers and the implementation of these systems to ensure compliance and adherence to the systems by end users;
- Excellent stakeholder relationship skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with established document review and data entry skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule work in changing circumstances whilst managing multiple priorities to meet project deliverables
