About the role
We are seeking an inspiring and passionate Lead Educator for our nursey studio, to join our team at Bahrs Scrub and embark on a wonderful new journey with us. As a Lead Educator you will lead and support the studio team, through modelling a collaborative learning approach, ensuring the environment and teaching approaches are designed to enhance children’s ideas.
We are seeking Educators, you will be directly accountable for the delivery of quality education and care ensuring that all children are inspired to investigate, create, and explore their environment and participate in the educational program.
We pride ourselves on our exceptional Leadership structure consisting of a full-time Relationships Manager, responsible for all enrolment management and family engagement, a full-time non-contact Educational Leader who drives high quality educational outcomes and hands-on coaching for our educating team for best practice and a full-time Centre Director to lead quality and support our Centre achieve success.
About the Centre
Harmony Bahrs Scrub is a beautiful, well-resourced 125 place centre with amazing natural outdoor areas. Our outdoor spaces offer opportunities for a challenge and are an extension to the indoor program throughout the day.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- The ability to provide strong foundations for children's learning and development
- Knowledge of early childhood development
- Planning and implementing well-structured, age-appropriate learning goals and teaching programs that engage children and promote learning
- The ability to identify, plan and engage in professional learning to improve practice
- Professional behaviour and respectful interactions with children, families, and colleagues
- Respectful, collaborative partnerships with families regarding their children's learning and wellbeing.
- Effective teaching strategies to support children's literacy and numeracy achievement.
- Current Blue Card
- Current First Aid Certificate including asthma and anaphylaxis training
- Current recognised resuscitation certificate
- Certificate III, Diploma in Children’s services (or ACECQA Approved qualification), or working towards
- Child protection certificate or willingness to obtain.
