Our client is a well-established Australian IT Solutions and Consulting group offering a range of Integrated solutions to the Government and Enterprise Marketplace.
They are looking for an experienced Engineer to ensure continuity and availability of services provided to their clients. The role is responsible for the continued delivery of services that run across diverse platforms. You will be involved with directing and setting required standards around testing, integration, deployment, transition, go-live and operational tasks.
Ideal candidates will have a strong engineering background in managed services with Network Operations experience and exposure to Projects, network design and architecture.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Lead the standard implementation of policies, procedures for fault logging and operational support ensuring they are maintained internally and externally
Lead peers to ensure that managed environments are consistent with the companies’ objectives and are compatible with existing applications and security and risk requirements where required.
Manage and scale relevant in-scope systems used for managed services and work with product management, sales, architecture, project delivery, support, and finance to ensure customer requirements are met.
Deliver integrated managed solutions, that demonstrably improve on:
Efficiency and effectiveness
Speed of deployment
Reduction in failure rates
Reduction in mean-time-to-failure
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Good understanding of Project/Solution delivery life cycle. Should be able to take end to end project ownership, drive the resource requirements, identify the tasks, and give clear instructions for execution to the team.
Solid experience in a network engineer position - with a background in both network & security.
Vendor certified/qualified and relevant working experience in Switching, Routing and Firewalls
Effective written and oral communication skills.
You must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident as you need to be eligible for Australian Security clearances.
