The Gold Fields People and Engagement team have an opporutnity for a Lead : Operational Training to join our team.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Manager: People & Engagement Operations you will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating a comprehensive regional Operational Training framework, ensuring governance and validation of activities to ensure optimal organisational capability in alignment with legislative requirements and company learning and development strategies and procedures.

This role is offered on a 9 day fortnight roster at our Perth corporate office on a permanent basis with regular site travel. For this role we will consider full-time, part-time or job share options.

About the role:
Develop, implement and manage a competency-based training and assessment program for operational personnel including regular re-assessment and evaluation;
Develop and maintain a training needs matrix for all positions in the region and provide direction and schedule training to address any gaps;
Ensure delivery of quality training by coordinating internal and external training programs;
Monitor and provide feedback to department managers and supervisors on training initiatives, outcomes and logistical issues;
Collaborate with operational stakeholders to establish training calendars and selecting programs;
Ensure best practice employee onboarding experience through training processes;
Monitor and assess Business Partner training activities and employee competencies to ensure compliance with project and legislative requirements and standards;
Ensure data integrity of the Learning Management System by regularly updating role-based training profiles, competency frameworks, gap analysis and training records;
Contribute to maintaining site certification in OHSAS18001, AS4801, ISO14001;
Manage regional Apprentice, Trainee and New to Mining programs.
About you:
Ideally tertiary qualification in Training, Teaching, Work Health & Safety, Leadership or Human Resources
Certificate IV Training and Assessment
Sound computer and literacy skills
Extensive experience in a Resources Industry environment
Experience in design and delivery of job specific training
Experience managing Apprentice, Trainee & New to Mining programs
Ideally understanding of RTO and Government funding opportunities for training programs
