Job Description
Sodexo is seeking a Project Lead to join our Operational Readiness team. This position will be offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is based out of the Balcatta office with site travel required as needed.
Within Western Australia, Sodexo is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and refurbishment of non-process infrastructure to clients within the mining and oil & gas sector. Sodexo plays a critical role in ensuring the resource sector can operate by providing quality catering, hospitality, and facilities maintenance services.
Operational Readiness overview:
Operational Readiness is a team of subject matter experts who are heavily involved in delivering projects that enhance the experiences of all our FIFO village residents via Operational Readiness, village security, fitness, improved social lifestyles and general wellbeing along with ensuring new assets are compliant with all regularity standards and codes.
Job Description
- Submission and acceptance of all building compliance documentation by the Sodexo Team. Via the Transfer Customer Care and Custody process (TCCC).
- Organization and leadership of joint site visits with FM representatives, HSC, and Operations to audit construction works before handover. Subsequently, we work with Rio to address any safety and operational concerns, ensuring Sodexo can maintain the asset to the expected standards without incurring additional costs.
- Leading the mobilization of new assets, ensuring their readiness for operation. Collaborating with Operations and recruitment to source the correct personnel, cleaning and setting up the asset for occupancy, and sourcing branding and equipment for an on-site presence by the go-live date.
- Collaboration with Asset Management to ensure all new assets are included in our asset management system, and creation of all maintenance work orders and maintenance.
- Cooperation with our commercial team to ensure Sodexo stakeholders are satisfied with the new asset. This involves addressing any exceptions noted and implementing a management plan.
- Focused on deploying, adapting and implementing Project Management services for Sodexo Project Team for multiple clients.
- Manage site-based supervisors and contractors.
- Actively contribute to the achievement of Operational Readiness vision and critical priorities, and measure progress against key value drivers.
- Defining project scopes, planning, estimating and managing costs and schedule performance
- Provide support to Clients through the provision of standardised Project Management services (e.g. predictable quality and cost of services)
- Provide support to contract management of deliverable projects.
- Provide consultancy services, expertise and support to clients and segment teams to streamline, standardise and simplify operational activity, and benefit from scale.
- Contribute to an overall improvement in safety through safety walks or similar - reduce incidents and accidents and achieve a zero-accident culture and mindset.
- Degree qualified - Mechanical/Civil Engineering and/or Project Management
- Demonstrated experience of project management deliverables across multiple sites, with a preference to the mining sector
- High level of financial acumen with strong P&L performance delivery
- Strong sales, tender/quote/bid preparation and submission knowledge
- Strong work ethics and an understanding of corporate requirements and processes
- Strong professional business acumen to ensure all client relationship improvement initiatives are professionally defined measured, implemented and controlled
- High level of business case presentation and communication skills with the ability to professionally negotiate and achieve positive client relationship outcomes
