Position Title:Lead PharmacistInvestigational Drugs Service
Employment Type: Maximum Term until March 2025 (Backfill)
Hours per week: 16 hours per week, plus weekend work and oncall as per roster requirements.
Position Grade: Grade 3 Pharmacist
Salary: $123,870.36 - $127,316.75 base per annum (pro-rata)

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Investigational Drugs Service for Cancer and Applied Medical Research units. St Vincent’s Hospital is a major clinical trials centre in Australia delivering access to cutting edge international trials including innovative phase 1 trials and local, investigator led collaborative studies. Leading research areas include HIV/immunology, heart and lung medicine/transplantation, neurology, alcohol and drug rehabilitation and oncology/haematology.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Lead Pharmacist (Investigational Drugs Service) who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who have significant clinical pharmacy experience with an interest in clinical trials.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
2. Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no conditions on scope of practice and post registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience, and availability for on-call and weekend work as per roster requirements.

3. Significant experience and a demonstrated high level of competence, expertise, skill and application of clinical judgment in the provision of clinical pharmacy services including demonstrated understanding on oncology/haematology and clinical trials governance/regulatory principles.

Demonstrated understanding of the principles that govern clinical trials and regulatory requirements pertaining to Investigational Drugs in Australia and overseas.

5. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to develop high quality written guidelines, procedures, educational, research or business materials. 

6. Proven ability and commitment to effectively role model, champion and promote teamwork and to manage and develop staff (both formally and informally). 

7. Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, problem solving and development and implementation of new initiatives.

8. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
