About the role:
This position is pivotal to the John Hunter Hospital Emergency Department, providing leadership and responsibility for the provision of clinical pharmacy services. John Hunter Hospital has a large hospital-in-the-home service where you will support Pharmacy staff through agent and dose optimisation and work with the procurement team for stock supply issues.

Where you'll be working:
John Hunter Hospital Pharmacy provides services to the entire Rankin Park Campus and is very active in medicines governance and education and training across all facets of Pharmacy Practice. Working in a supportive multidisciplinary team, the John Hunter Hospital Pharmacy Department provides great support and opportunities for professional and personal development. The Department has strong ties to University and Clinical teams including Infectious Diseases and Critical Care.
This is an opportunity to work for the largest employer in the region which services a population of more than 900,000 across the Hunter, New England, and Lower Mid North Coast areas. John Hunter Hospital is a Level 6, tertiary referral, major trauma, and teaching hospital.

The John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct project will deliver an innovative and integrated precinct with industry-leading facilities. The project will work in collaboration with health, education, and research partners to meet the current and future needs of the greater Newcastle, Hunter New England, and Northern NSW regions.

Requirements:
- Current unrestricted registration as a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Ability to work a 7-day roster including weekends and late shifts.
- Current NSW driver's license for roles where driving is a required component of the role
