Lead Platform Engineer - Microsoft Azure

Our client is poised for significant growth over the next 18 months, and with a new technology leadership team now in place, they're looking to invest heavily in their people and infrastructure as a growth enabler for the business.Traditionally a Microsoft house, they're partnering with the key consultancies and global vendors to help define their technology roadmap and cloud solution, and are now in need of an exceptional Platform Engineer to drive and architect the solutions in partnership with these third parties.This will include:

• Design and build a robust and scalable operational Azure platform
• Be both the architect and engineer in the design, build and deployment
• Work closely with the engineering teams to influence design and application delivery lifecycle
• Automate system deployments and configuration
• Engage with business stakeholders and vendors to drive through priorities
• Coach and mentor the engineering teams on best practice
• Help create and establish an architecture practice

This is a newly created role that requires a talented engineer who's at their best when working closely architects, vendors and business stakeholders to deliver scalable platforms and applications at pace.To be considered you will need to have a strong background in Microsoft technologies and Azure solutions when it comes to architecting and move a business to the cloud.
