The Role
Our client is in a dynamic phase of growth, boasting strong multidisciplinary coverage. As part of their expansion plan, we are seeking a high-energy and collaborative leader to join their team as Lead/Principal Civil Engineer. This role will play a pivotal part in further expanding the civil discipline capabilities and supporting their mining, industrial and renewables clients in various areas, including civil works, roads, water supply infrastructure, surface water management, non-process infrastructure, camps, and rail.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Civil Engineering team, ensuring technical delivery and quality.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, interpreting designs for innovative solutions.
• Recruit, develop, and manage the Civil Engineering team, supporting growth strategies.
• Analyze complex Civil Engineering issues, manage resources, budgets, and schedules.
• Provide construction/commissioning support, engage with clients, and identify opportunities.

Key Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional qualification (CPEng)
• RPEQ desirable but not essential
• 15+ years working experience, with 8+ years in consulting engineering.
• Significant design experience in Mining and Industrial sectors, specifically across earthworks, roads and drainage design
• Experience in Hydrology and Water Services design is advantageous.
• Demonstrated leadership, safety consciousness, and excellent communication skills.
• Extensive understanding of industry codes, standards, and design safety.
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple complex projects.
