Salary- Input and review of project proposals, including scoping and engineering hours estimation
- Project Management of structural projects and low complexity multi-discipline projects
- Undertaking quality assurance activities and providing the final sign off on design documentation and reports
- Undertaking concept designs for new infrastructure as well as remedial works or improvements to existing infrastructure
- Guiding others in detailed structural design
- Providing technical mentoring for others
- Technical report writing including producing risk management documentation, ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements across engineering activities
- Contributing to GHD's knowledge and skills in Structural Engineering including planning, design and construction.
- Degree qualified Civil or Structural Engineer (with or working towards CPEng. registration in Australia)
- 12+ years of engineering experience, with a focus in the local mining and resources sector
- Minimum of 6+ years in design consultancy
- Strong technical design experience, including static and dynamic structures and fatigue sensitive structures
- Experience and ability to navigate design analysis software such as Space Gass is essential, with Strand7 and ANSYS favourable
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and confident interfacing directly with clients, have good people relationships and networking skills
- A drive to provide strong technical leadership, mentoring and advice to others.
