THE ROLE (Brisbane):

As a Lead Product Engineer at Eurocold, you will play a pivotal role in our business growth by representing our brand, positively contributing to our industry and building on our growing reputation as a trusted partner.

A day in the life of our Lead Product Engineer looks like:

• Working closely with the sales / commercial team to develop and maintain all technical data for core Eurocold builds, including developing the standard suite of payload drawings and technical spec sheets used for customer proposals.
• Supporting the sales and commercial teams to develop non-core vehicle solutions our customers require.
• Embedding yourself in Eurocold operations to understand constraints and opportunities of the production process to offer great refrigerated vehicles to our customers. 
• Work with the aftersales department to understand product performance, and play a critical role in continuous product development. 
• Participating in industry and with our suppliers to activity to ensure that the Eurocold range fit for purpose to solve relevant industry problem statements. This may range from, engaging with 3rd party manufacturers to develop and manufacture an appropriate fold down step, to sourcing additional safety buzzers required for specific customer sites. 
• Support these teams in customer facing activity when required, using the learnings to better our offering.
• Developing relationships with our suppliers and solid knowledge of their products to help create the art of the possible.
• Using engineering and industry tools to develop drawings and specifications of refrigerated vehicles to support both our sales and production teams.
• Be methodical in execution but creative in development for new and modified refrigerated vehicles specifications for our customers.

YOUR ATTRIBUTES: 

• Solid understanding of heavy vehicles and the design rules that govern them.
• The ability to engage at a range of levels; from the factory floor to the C-Suite and all in between.
• Great communication skills, verbal, written and pictorial.
• Appreciation of production, sales and supplier constraints and a can-do creativity to find a path forward.
• Engineering skill and judgement that can be backed up with the science.
• Experience with Truck Science / CAD drawings or similar.
