In this role, you'll:
Be part of the Road Design team within Infrastructure & Place's Technical Services branch, provides specialised engineering services for the multi-modal delivery, operations and management of our transport network.
You will support the Design Manager with program management and coordination of traffic signal design engineering services. Supervise and motivate a team of technical staff and cross-functional team members through leadership and mentoring. Lead the delivery of internally and externally prepared designs on road infrastructure projects, in compliance with policies, standards, technical directions, guidelines, procedures and agreed requirements and contribute to the management of technical risk in design. Working closely with other disciplines in Technical Services and external stakeholders, with a common goal to deliver sustainable and safe intersection road designs for all users.

About you
You are passionate about Road Design with extensive experience in the design of roads and related structures within infrastructure projects and the following:
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Sound knowledge of Transport for NSW (formally RMS) standards and guides including the Traffic Signal Design guide, Austroads Guide to Road Design and other related standards
• Experience in Traffic Signal Design.
• Proficiency in CADD Software
• Be willing to undertake and complete Road Safety Auditor training.
