We are currently recruiting for a Lead SAP Basis Engineer for a large enterprise client in the retail space.

About the role

As the Lead SAP Basis Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining SAP environments across different areas. This is a key position responsible for system administration, performance run cost optimization, security, and ensuring overall system reliability. The successful candidate will lead and execute installations, upgrades, new system builds, and provide technical support, acting as the primary liaison for all other technology system managers.

Responsibilities

1. SAP System Administration:

   • Oversee the day-to-day administration of SAP environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
   • Implement and manage installations, upgrades, and new system builds.

2. Performance and Cost Optimization:

   • Conduct regular performance assessments and implement optimization strategies.
   • Drive cost-effective solutions while maintaining high system performance.

3. Technical Support:

   • Serve as the primary technical support liaison for technology system managers.
   • Provide expert guidance and troubleshooting for SAP-related issues.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP systems.
   • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and status reports.

Skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Previous SAP manufacturing experience.
• Proven experience in SAP Basis administration, with a focus on system management and performance optimization.
• Strong expertise in SAP installations, upgrades, and new system builds.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP security protocols and best practices.
