Your new role

You'll be joining as a Lead Security Engineer, you'll be ensuring the highest level of security and compliance on data products and cloud-based applications.

You'll be a strategic advisor on all things' security to the CTO and other senior stakeholders, whilst also being extremely hands-on from an engineering perspective.

You'll be designing, engineering and maintaining existing features with a heavy focus on security related requirements and testing. You'll be engineering security related features within GCP & GKE platform, collaborating with other engineers within the business in order to come to the best possible solution.

The company is undertaking a modernisation project of all existing services and applications, so you'll be taking the lead from a security perspective.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have a solutions focussed mindset. This role would be great either for a Senior Engineer looking to step up into a Lead position, or an existing Lead Engineer who is looking for more ownership or a change. This role would really suit a software or platform engineer that has transitioned into security.

From a technical perspective, there are a few things you'll need to be successful:

Vulnerability and penetration testing & remediation

A great understanding of: Security Frameworks (FAPI used in CDR), Security Standards such as ISO 27001, Transport Layer Security (TLS), X509 Certificates

Software Engineering Knowledge across multiple languages: Java, GCP, Terraform

DevOps knowledge would be highly regarded

Knowledge of the FinTech or Banking sector would be highly beneficial.
