Our Digital team is continuously growing as we go through a massive digital transformation. Hence we are looking for a Lead React Engineer to join our team on a perm role. About the role
As a Lead Engineer you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of coles.com.au, and ensuring the overall health of our codebase. You will be working with a team of talented Software Engineers, driving innovation, and solving large scale problems to meet the growing needs of our customers.
You have
- Extensive experience in React, JavaScript, CSS, Typescript, Redux, REST APIs, and other related web technologies
- 7+ years building large scale websites (consumer preferred)
- Experience in adopting a continuous delivery mindset, and practical experience with trunk-based development
- Experience in web performance optimisations
- Experience in GraphQL
- Experience in working through technical decisions (short vs long term)
- Experience in accessibility, and unit/integration testing frameworks
- Experience in agile development methodologies
Desirable Experience
- Exposure/experience to NextJS, Storybook
- Experience in (or willingness to learn) build pipelines
- Exposure/experience in content management systems
- Willingness to learn/get exposure to other systems and technologies
