Brand SA is responsible for protecting and strengthening the State Brand, ensuring it is grown as a key asset across government industry and community. The team increases awareness and shapes positive perception of South Australia, enhancing the state’s appeal as a place to do business and guiding consumer choice towards South Australian products, produce, experiences and services.

The Role:

As a newly created position, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated brand marketer to join our dedicated Brand SA team, delivering marketing and engagement programs to drive consistent and coordinated use of the State Brand.

This role, reporting directly to the Manager, Brand SA, is responsible for translation of state brand strategy into a suite of marketing materials to help build the profile of South Australia nationally and globally; and the provision of specialist expertise and advice to aid in management of the South Australian brand. 

Working closely with Department and cross-Government colleagues, along with the SA Business community, this role will ensure a consistent state brand is presented through messaging, tone of voice, photography and other visual assets in all collateral, websites, video, events, and storytelling.  The role will have a focus on servicing a range of internal and external stakeholders, seeking opportunities to partner to deliver marketing communications that build awareness and shape perception of the state. 

About You:

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

  • Knowledge of brand strategy and marketing science, and the methodologies required to develop, promote and grow a brand using contemporary marketing practices
  • High level written and verbal communication skills, with ability to weave brand messaging and storytelling across multiple platforms.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills that promote successful relationships and ensure clear and audience appropriate advice is delivered to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comprehensive understanding of brand governance, creative project management, digital asset management and approvals processes.  

Desirable Qualification:

Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business or a related discipline are essential.  

Special Conditions

Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.

Remuneration:

ASO7 – $106,512 min – $115,137 max
